CRSP  (Center for Research in Security Prices).  This is a database within WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services). 

It is located on a single computer in the Reference Room of the BusinessSPEA Information Commons.  A stock price

query is relatively easy to formulate, and multiple company data can be downloaded in one query.  Daily data for

the NYSE begins in 1962, with monthly data back to 1925.  Daily data for AMEX and NASDAQ from 1972.
