Bloomberg

Bloomberg is a subscription database accessed from a single computer in the Business/SPEA Information Commons Reference room.

Use Bloomberg to find historical and current global market and economic data and news and historical and current financial information for U.S. and international public companies. Look up government, corporate, mortgage, money market, municipal, preferred, equity, commodity, index, and currency issues.

Log in to the computer using your personal username and password.  Click on the Bloomberg desktop icon.  Then log in to Bloomberg using the posted Bloomberg username and password.

We now have the ability to download data from Bloomberg directly into a spreadsheet, using the Microsoft Excel Add-in. 

Take the Bloomberg Certification Program!  Take online video courses from the  Bloomberg terminal.  Two tracks are available, Equity and Fixed Income; each takes 8 courses to complete, followed by exams.  Interested?  See more details here.
